With over 15 years experience in the logistics and ecommerce space, Rich has seen it all. Having started holding various roles in the freight audit and brokerage space, Rich first cut his teeth in ecommerce where he joined then FiftyOne (Borderfree) as a logistics operator. As the company grew so did he, creating and leading hub operations, transportation, compliance and various other operational teams. Rich has opened over 10 facilities in 5 countries and worked with over 70 carrier and transportation providers. To further test his skills, he moved into Business Operations assisting the GM before finding a home in Product Management, where he served as Vice President responsible for the building and go-to-market of Pitney Bowes’ Cross Border Delivery Service (>$250M).
Driven by the consistent double-digit growth in ecommerce, the industry has witnessed significant investment and consolidation, leaving many companies grappling with scale and profitability challenges. However, advancements in AI and routing data have ushered in a new wave of delivery providers offering local services at a fraction of traditional carrier costs.
